VIP House Movers – Terms of Service

Effective Date: 01 June 2025

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the legal agreement between VIP House Movers (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and you, the customer (“you” or “your”), for the provision of residential removal services. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Introduction

VIP House Movers is committed to delivering professional, reliable, and efficient home removal services. These Terms govern all services provided to you and should be read in conjunction with any written quotations or service confirmations issued to you.


2. Bookings and Deposits

  • A deposit is required to secure any booking. No booking shall be deemed confirmed until the deposit is received in full.
  • All deposits are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation, including cancellations made by you.
  • By making a deposit, you acknowledge acceptance of these Terms.

3. Payments

  • Full payment must be made either prior to or on the day of the removal, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, cash, or other pre-approved methods.
  • Failure to make full payment may result in the delay, suspension, or cancellation of your service.

4. Cancellations and Changes

  • A minimum of three (3) full UK business days’ notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduling.
  • If less than three days’ notice is given, the full balance of the service becomes immediately due and payable, irrespective of whether the service takes place.
  • If cancellation is made with more than three days’ notice, only the deposit will be forfeited.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • Our services include Goods in Transit Insurance up to £15,000 per vehicle.
  • You must inform us in writing prior to the move if your goods are valued in excess of this amount. Additional insurance can be arranged upon request.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage to goods unless caused by proven negligence.
  • We strongly recommend you arrange supplementary insurance for high-value, delicate, or irreplaceable items.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all items are properly packed and ready for transport unless our packing service has been booked.
  • Arranging adequate parking at both collection and delivery addresses.
  • Ensuring that access points are clear and suitable for large items and our team’s equipment.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays or additional charges.


7. Access Conditions

  • Safe and adequate access to both collection and delivery addresses must be ensured by you.
  • Additional charges may be applied if restricted access results in delays, or if extra labour or equipment is needed to complete the job.

8. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to carry out the services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Road closures or traffic incidents
  • Strikes or labour disputes
  • Mechanical breakdowns
  • Government restrictions or other unforeseeable events

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


10. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website or provided in writing upon request. Your continued use of our services following any amendment will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
